3/4 UltraWiz Cold Knife Blades - 51C1
$45.80Manufacturers are always looking for ways to save money when building cars, and what better way to save money than to leave the moulding off of the glass. They give no thought to the problems this will create for the glass technician. A small scratch that would not be a problem with a moulding to hide it, now becomes a huge problem with the exposed area because the paint must be matched to the car. With the Exposed Pinchweld Removal Blades, the problems associated with this method of installation are now solved. UltraWiz has developed these blades, which have a smooth plastic coating on the back, so if the blade touches the paint, it will not be damaged. The coating is very tough and will not easily rub off. The blade is based on the UltraWiz UltraThin blade, so it is one of the thinnest blades in the industry. All blades will have a small amount of coating on the inside of the shank, but it will be kept as thin as possible to keep from increasing the blade thickness. This is critical due to the limited clearance that is available in many vehicles, especially in the corners. Also, the tip or cutting edge is not coated. Any coating on the cutting edge would reduce its sharpness, increasing the resistance during cutting, and thereby increasing the chance of blade failure. Package of 10. Learn More -

This design along with the serrations, create a very thin blade with much less cutting resistance then anything in the industry! The radius grind is similar to what techs have been doing for years, but on these blades it is done before heat treating to produce the highest performance possible. The unique serration design leaves small leading edge points to pierce the urethane for an easier pull during cutting. Also with only the small serration points touching the glass, the majority of the blade stays sharp for continued cutting ease. Learn More -

Z Blade Variety Pack - 1 Each: Z1, Z2, Z7, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z8, Z9 & Z6 / VZB10
Regular Price: $38.00
Special Price $32.50
Z blades will remain flexible and retain their sharpness much longer than the average cold knife blade. The grinding of the blade is at a greater angle than other cold knife blades. This makes the resistance less when pulling the cold knife to cut the urethane. The end result is a cold knife blade that has the ability to resist breaking, last longer and keep a sharp edge. Equalizer produces two types of cold knife blades. Both the standard and the coined blades use the same proprietary hardening process.oined Z Blade coined cold knife blade has the cutting surface of the blade made thinner, only about 35 thousandths of an inch thick. A normal cold knife blade is 62 thousandths thick. Many technicians routinely grind standard cold knife blades thinner so they will cut easier. Sometimes this grinding will overheat a blade and damage the hardening. Z blades are thinned before they are hardened so there is no need to grind them thinner.hould I buy coined or not coined blades?f you are one of those technicians who uses a cold knife blade right out of the box and never grinds it thinner, then use the standard thickness Z1, Z2, Z3, Z7 or Z9. If you find yourself taking a new blade out of the box and grinding it thinner before you use it, then you should use Z4, Z5, Z6, or Z8. Made in USA. Learn More -
